NFDI4Earth Service Catalogue
In parallel, we are working on a
comprehensive catalogue of all NFDI4Earth services, including detailed
information about the services, their interactions, documentation, standards,
and usage. The services will also be mapped on the architecture and their
requirements to allow individual analyses.
As an initial step, we conducted an intensive
landscaping of your partners' contributions and relevant ESS services. Recognizing the provision of a curated repository catalogue as a key driver for developing the NFDI4Earth Label, we
established close collaboration with re3data to align strategies for updating and improving metadata for
ESS services and to jointly develop service metadata schemas tailored to the
needs of the Earth System Sciences community.
To deepen the repository landscaping, we employed
a range of interaction methods, including interviews, surveys, and roadshow events. The current curated repository catalogue is maintained in
the Knowledge Hub and made accessible through OneStop4All, both as a curated collection and as a guided tour.
Following the results of our gap analysis (see next section)
and ongoing dialogue with community service providers and central support
service developers, we are prioritizing the extension of our service catalogue
to include Research Data Management (RDM) services (first results). This includes a focused addition of Data Management Plan services (DMP services) and HPC
services (HPC services) to further strengthen the support infrastructure within
NFDI4Earth.
